Day centre jobs
We have several day centres across Essex that support vulnerable adults, including older people and individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism. We are looking for individuals who share our values and passion to make a positive difference to people’s lives.
The teams in our day centres develop a personalised support plan for every customer, which works towards individuals’ aspirations to provide them with the skills and confidence to explore new opportunities and lead positive, meaningful lives.
For some, this could be practical and physical support such as supporting them to eat or help them visit the bathroom. For others, this could be strengthening their confidence to integrate in their local community or even to find a job.
Whatever support we provide, we always treat our customers with respect, maintain their dignity, and ensure they enjoy the pathway to reaching their goals.
Some of our day centre roles include:
Support Worker
Our Support Workers within the day centres will either support adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, or older people with additional needs. Depending on what the centre where you work provides, there’s a whole host of community or centre-based activities you can encourage our customers to engage with.
Previous experience in the care industry is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
